L5P Cold Air Intake for 2020–2025 Chevrolet & GMC Duramax

The HSP Cold Air Intake for 2020–2025 Chevrolet and GMC L5P Duramax trucks is a performance-focused upgrade designed to improve airflow while maintaining factory drivability. Featuring smooth 4.5-inch mandrel-bent tubing and HSP’s MEGA air filter, this intake delivers increased airflow without requiring tuning.

This L5P cold air intake is engineered to retain factory MAF readings, allowing the truck to operate properly with no calibration changes while supporting improved throttle response and overall efficiency.

HSP L5P Cold Air Intake Design

The intake system uses precision-formed tubing and Santoprene TPV seals to create a tight seal against the fender and hood. This design helps ensure incoming air is directed through the intake system without leaks or heat intrusion.

With increased airflow compared to the factory intake, this system supports improved engine breathing while maintaining consistent performance across daily driving and towing conditions.

Air Filter Life System (AFLS) Disable Procedure

Some 2020–2025 L5P Duramax trucks may require disabling the factory Air Filter Life System to prevent false “Change Air Filter” alerts caused by the intake’s higher airflow.

• On the Driver Information Center, open the Options menu and select Info Page Options.
• Verify that Air Filter Life is enabled.
• Navigate to the Info section and select Air Filter Life.
• Select Disable.
• This disables the alert, which cannot recalibrate for increased airflow.
• Disabling the alert has no effect on vehicle operation.
