We received our first batch of WCFAB Y-Bridge kits for the 2017–2026 Duramax 6.6L L5P and quickly noticed a design change compared to the factory L5P Y-Bridge.
The all-new WCFAB Y-Bridge utilizes an O-ring design to seal the throttle body flange, whereas the factory Y-Bridge uses a traditional flat-style mounting gasket.
If you're running an aftermarket intake flange, such as the Square Root Fab unit, that also utilizes an O-ring to seal against the Y-Bridge, you may run into sealing issues where the two O-rings meet, potentially resulting in boost leaks.
To solve this problem, we've developed a precision laser-cut stainless steel plate designed to fit between the two O-rings, providing a reliable sealing surface and ensuring a proper boost-tight seal!
